"Moms in Touch International" is an awesome organization. It is where two or more mothers meet once a week and pray for their children, schools, and teachers. I was introduced to the program by a dear friend last year. However, it was only this year that I decided to make the time. I am so happy that I did. I can not explain the wonderful experiences I have had. There is something remarkable that occurs when you have people praying for your children, as well as you praying for theirs. Please visit www.momsintouch.org and see if there is a group in your area. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them, matt 18:20." As a mother of five I know how important it is to keep our children busy. After working as a substitute teacher in the Onslow county schools for about seven years I believe that all children need an outlet. Whether it is youth group, school organizations, sports, helping the homeless, etc, please remember to give to our youth. They are our future! www.rsc-nc.com Christmas of 2007 was a great one for me. I was able to give a little back to the community that has given me so much. I began my first annual Christmas parade in Trifield Estates. My children participated in a large way. I wanted them to see that giving your time is just a precious as giving money. I dressed up like an elf and my coworker Wendy Fountain dressed up as the Grinch. Dee Dee Uzzell from 1st metropolitan mortgage was there as well. My son, who is a volunteer fire fighter for the Richlands Fire Dept., brought a few volunteers from the dept. and SANTA. We gave candy canes out to the children, it was so fun. The sweetest thing about the whole night was when my children asked if we could do this every year!!! |
